ด้วยโรงเรียนอัสสัมชัญธนบุรีตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการใช้พลังงาน และทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างรู้คุณค่า และมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด จึงได้ส่งเสริม สนับสนุนการใช้พลังงานทดแทน เพื่อลดการใช้พลังงาน เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้สำหรับครู นักเรียน บุคลากร และชุมชน อีกทั้งยังให้ความสำคัญในการเพิ่มพื้นที่สีเขียว เพื่อเป็นการลดภาวะโลกร้อนและก๊าซเรือนกระจก จึงได้กำหนดนโยบายการอนุรักษ์พลังงาน และสิ่งแวดล้อมไว้ดังนี้
1. จัดให้มีการดำเนินงาน และพัฒนาระบบการจัดการพลังงานอย่างเหมาะสม กำหนดให้การอนุรักษ์พลังงาน เป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ของการดำเนินงานของโรงเรียน โดยสอดคล้องกับกฎหมาย และข้อกำหนดอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
2. จัดให้มีการดำเนินการปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพการใช้ทรัพยากรพลังงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อให้เหมาะสมกับการเรียนการสอน และเทคโนโลยีที่ใช้ในการปฏิบัติงานที่ดี
3. จัดทำแผนงาน เป้าหมาย มาตรการ โครงการและกิจกรรมการอนุรักษ์พลังงาน และสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยประชาสัมพันธ์ให้กับ ครู บุคลากร และนักเรียน ได้รับทราบเพื่อปฏิบัติได้อย่างถูกต้อง
4. ผู้บริหาร ครู บุคลากร และนักเรียนทุกคน มีส่วนรวมในความรับผิดชอบและร่วมมือในการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการการอนุรักษ์ พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม ตามนโยบายของโรงเรียน
5. มีการส่งเสริม สนับสนุนงานงบประมาณให้บุคลากร เพื่อจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ บูรณาการเกี่ยวกับการอนุรักษ์พลังงานและ สิ่งแวดล้อม ให้นักเรียน บุคลากร มีความรู้ ความเข้าใจ มีจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม
6. คณะกรรมการดำเนินงานด้านการจัดการพลังงาน มีการปรับปรุงนโยบาย เป้าหมาย และแผนการดำเนินงานด้านการจัดการ พลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้เหมาะสมกับการใช้พลังงานและทรัพยากรสิ่งแวดล้อมในแต่ละปีการศึกษา
7. ดำเนินการจัดภูมิทัศน์และสภาพแวดล้อมภายในโรงเรียน ให้มีความสวยงาม สะอาด ร่มรื่น ปลอดภัย เอื้อต่อการเรียนรู้และ ลดความร้อนเข้าสู่ผนังอาคาร
8. จัดให้มีระบบบริหารจัดการของเสีย น้ำ ขยะ เศษวัสดุเหลือใช้ เพื่อนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อโรงเรียน และชุมชน
Highly aware of the importance of using energy and natural resources efficiently, Assumption College Thonburi has encouraged the use of renewable energy in order to reduce energy consumption and the environmentally-friendly space allocation to maximise green areas on the school ground to help mitigate the problem of global warming and greenhouse gas emission. As a result, a set of policies for energy and environmental conservation was implemented as followed:
1. Improve energy management system by incorporating energy conservation practice as an integral part of all activities on the school premise based on rules, laws and other related regulations.
2. Constantly monitor and improve the efficiency of energy resource consumption in line with teaching and learning activities as well as technology.
3. Develop plans, objectives, measures, projects and activities to promote energy and environmental conservation and conduct PR to assure that all teachers, students and staff are well-informed and adopt the practices.
4. The management, teachers, staff and students are involved in practising energy and environmental conservation based on school policies.
5. Provide budgets for the staff to organise integrated activities focusing on energy and environmental conservation so that students and staff are deeply sensible of such practice.
6. Energy Management Committee regularly updates policies, objectives, and operating plans for energy and environmental conservation in line with energy and resource consumption in each academic year.
7. Adjust landscape and surroundings on the school ground and ensure that they are clean, safe, pleasant, shady and conducive to learning and insulating the buildings.
8. Implement waste and water management system as well as recycling system to generate benefits to both school and local communities.
